MEET THE MESS BEHIND THE MAGIC
Hi, I’m the artist behind RAW Art Official.
A Canadian 90’s baby from Mississauga who’s been chasing color, chaos, and creative freedom for as long as I can remember.
What started as a love for art turned into a full-blown obsession with experimenting, evolving, and building a style that actually feels like me — bold, a little unhinged, and anything but boring.
My art journey started early. At 12, I was assigned a painting project in school and realized not only that I loved it, but that I was actually good at it. That moment sparked years of experimenting, evolving, and slowly developing my own creative style through trial, error, and growth.
After a very free-spirited, party-heavy chapter of life and a lot of lessons learned, everything shifted. When COVID hit, I spent nearly two years out of work as bartending and retail came to a full stop. At the same time, my mom, who owned two women’s clothing boutiques, was forced to close and relocate after the shutdowns took a major toll on her business.
I packed up my life, left Ontario, and drove to Alberta with her. It was a decision rooted in support, survival, and starting over, and it ended up changing everything.
That move pushed me to finally bet on myself.
I started building my creative business from scratch, teaching myself digital design, experimenting constantly, and learning as I went. I had no formal training, just persistence, late nights, and a willingness to figure things out.
I create under the name @rawartofficial. RAW comes from my initials and reflects both my identity and my approach to creating. My work is bold, unapologetic, and inspired by retro aesthetics, humor, nostalgia, and a bit of chaos. It is meant to stand out and be lived with, not sit quietly.
In 2025, I launched Hot Mess Paper Co., a greeting card brand for the girlies, besties, and hot messes who believe stationery should actually have a personality. Within months, the brand began gaining traction and landed in boutiques across Canada and the U.S.
Hot Mess Paper Co. is for roasting your BFF, hyping your bestie, celebrating milestones, and sending love with a bit of sass. It is proudly woman-owned, not on Amazon, and completely unapologetic.
Between my work and my brand, I get to create pieces that live on walls, bodies, and in the mail.
And honestly, I am just getting started.
